Drove for four hours, hiked for three, arriving just before dark. Wind and rain overnight, then a few stars before a cold dawn. Captured this while making morning coffee, watching lobster boats and soaking it all in. What a great planet to live on!

This is beautiful. I can imagine it was twice as spectacular to have experienced it in person.

Twice as spectacular wouldn’t begin to cover it. I have made a point to hike in and camp at this spot once a year for the last few. I go late in the season to be sure to have the place to myself after having to share the spot once in October. That perch above the ocean is a magical spot that is hard to reach, but worth the effort every time.
