Settled in for the night with my support team at Journey’s End. Big celebration for a guy who finished today. Hope they run out of beer soon heh.

Time to try this again. It has been 4 years since that heatwave tried to kill me.
Headed up to Journey’s End tomorrow for a Sunday start. The plan is flexible & slow. Carrying a lot of insulation & food so I can camp in comfort.
I will be covering this hike like the Cohos earlier this year. Most days should see a pic or two posted here along with a bit of babbling. Video will follow after I get home.
Should be beautiful out there. The colors are starting to pop. Hopefully the leaves stay on the trees!
Day 16 was wet with dramatic skies after several thunderstorms rolled through during the night. Some great views on Mt Crawford before reaching Crawford Notch and the end of the mighty Cohos Trail.
Day 15 started with surprise rain and more pack issues. After a wet day on the Davis Path I camped one last time.
Day 14 had some incredible views as I hiked up over the Crawford Path ridge and down into the Dry River Wilderness.
Day 13 started with a rumble of thunder at 5am. It also was the day I really wanted to quit, but didn’t!
Day 12 started with a 9am sub sandwich and ended on the side of a mountain as darkness gathered.
This day was the second half of the Kilkenny traverse hitting Terrace Mtn, Mt Weeks, Middle and South Weeks, Waumbek and finally Starr King late in the day.
This day saw the start of the Kilkenny Ridge at South Pond, views from Unknown Pond, The Horn and Bunnell Notch on the way down from Mt Cabot.
Day 9 was a nero, just a few miles to the Stark Village Inn for shower, laundry and a comfy bed. Still found a few pretty spots on the way there though!
